In 2006 we thought our
days of adoption were over, that God had only planned for us to have 2
children, our son Adam and our daughter Jani. But very early in 2007 he
tugged at our hearts and awakened the desire for more children. We found
ourselves turning from China to Taiwan and requested just 1 girl with
the possibility of maybe a sibling. But that wasn’t what He had in
mind for us. Our agency asked if we would be interested in 2 brothers
instead. After a whirlwind weekend of reading their file we said yes. It
was a long wait from July 07 until we traveled to get them in June 08. I
can’t tell you how good it felt to finally touch them, hold them, and
love them. I never imagined as a young girl that I would adopt, much less adopt internationally. Now I can’t imagine my children looking any different. And we can’t wait to see what God has planned for us in the future. Adoption is hard, sometimes it’s a long process, but in the end it is so worth it! We so enjoy our 2 new sweet smiles!
